First, clarify your core needs and determine the type of press. Flexographic printing presses are mainly divided into three types: stacked, satellite, and modular.
The applicable scenarios for each type are very different:
Table: Structure Type | Core Advantages | Applicable Scenarios
Stacked | Easy plate changing and cleaning, flexible color groups, high cost-effectiveness, small footprint | Frequent job changes, mainly paper/cardboard/adhesive/non-woven fabric, small to medium batch orders
Satellite | Extremely high registration accuracy, good structural rigidity, suitable for high-speed printing | Mainly uses highly elastic materials such as PE films, large batch flexible packaging orders requiring high registration accuracy
Modular | Flexible tension control, easy to match with post-press processing units | Short-run personalized printing requiring frequent plate changes, such as labels, customized food packaging bags
If you mainly print highly elastic films or require extremely high registration accuracy, choose the satellite type first; if you value flexibility and return on investment more, the stacked/modular type is a better choice.
